Art is water, it moves with the times.
Occasionally gaining momentum and sweeping into our cities with new strength. Wiping away the old, saturating the new, then receding back to the sea.
The works do not celebrate chaos. They embrace the true nature of our existence, change.
Dependent on the inevitable storm. Dormant works will reveal themselves where a landscape is altered beyond recognition.
There is neither agenda nor ulterior motive.
Force is dialectic, as is art. Convergence of thought and reality
Art is a metaphysical ocean of all that was, is and will be. View all relative states as equal.
If men are islands then art is the sea. They are independent but share body.
Nothing is fixed, all matter is fluid, be ready to let go and accept the surrounding entropy.
The artistic motif of “flood” is two triangles interlocked, a symbol capable of transcending into a sculptural foundation.
Late October - Self Directed
Mid to Late October - Timeline Project
This piece of work came out of the second brief the group was given. Each person was assigned a randomn book from the WSA library to study. From this each person was to create a piece of work that somehow involved an image from their book aswell as have a relationship to the wall.
The book I received was ‘Land Art - A Cultural Ecology Handbook’ by Max Andrews, and within was an image of ‘Shapeshifter’ by Brian Jungen.
Early October - 360 Project
This is the first piece of work I produced while at WSA. I call it a piece of work but this outcome is more of a collective of ideas and things i had attempted within the small time we were given.
Each material came out of a different attemept to create a large installation, echoing the feeling and form of the cemetery on Romsey Road.
The fellow who said he tried reading the dictionary but could’nt get the hang of the story simply missed the point: namely, that it is a collection of short stories.

Hello im Guy and welcome to my blog, from here i will be starting to record some of my work and ideas. So this space should act as a sort of journal for myself where i can post odds and ends of what im doing aswell as a few mindless scribbles, notes and general squabbling that will help me reflect as i work towards establishing myself within a more proffesional artistic practice.
